A Tour Through The Island of Mann

John Feltham travelled extensively through the Isle of Man during 1797 & 1798 and wrote his observations and findings to his friend Dr. Hawes. These letters were collected and published in a volume dedicated to the Duke of Athol.
The letters provide a unique insight into the state of the Island and its people at this time. The author’s acute observations cover everything from politics to the incidental details of the lives of the common people.
